Nobody knows how disappointing it is to finish second at Le Tour better than Jan, who has finished second for five times!
Having finished second to Armstrong thrice, in his absence, Jan would be looking forward to this year's Le Tour with some more determination. This T-Mobile Team member has a strongly built physique. He rides with a very high gear and pumps out tremendous amount of power on his bike. He has stuck with the T-Mobile team for several years now, and the team must be having grand expectations from him this year.
There have been a number of controversies centering around rivalry between his Armstrong. On one occasion when Jan crashed, Lance had actually stopped before Jan picked up his bike again and was in his saddle.
With Andreas Kloden (overall second place at last year's Tour) Jan would be eying the team time trial.
