ऐकावे...

Paramanada Jena is a curious character. He is remarkable colleauge of mine at CEDT. He simply keeps speaking about almost every thing (not that we don't enjoy being mere listeners). He has radical views at times, and sometimes I make my mind not to accept his views altogether.

Sometimes I feel rather embarrassed that I had to crack such a cruel (and yet beautiful) pun. The only two good things (from my point of view) about the pun were that he was not present when it happened and most importantly, he doesnot know Marathi.

It so happened that there was another curious character having lunch at our table. He had radical views about the ongoing sports activities in IISc. "Something reminds me of Jena", my friend exclaimed after realising that his talk was too far-fetched at times. I had to speak it. The weight was too much for me to bear now, and the words came out of my mouth :

"अरे हरकत नाही! ऐकावे "जना"चे, करावे मनाचे"

My first friend was left breathless of laughter.

My other friend appreciated this one by disclaiming any responsibilities of out-of-the-order laughters that may be observed over the next few days!
