The Virginia Tech shootout news was making rounds the last night. Although not many details are available, whoever did this (and his soul may not rest in peace), his actions must be condemned.

Reading the news report, I came across an interesting account told by a certain miss Kanode, a first year student who was locked from outside in her dorm just one floor below where the action was on.

They had us under lockdown,'' Kanode said. "They temporarily lifted the lockdown, the gunman shot again.'' "We're all locked in our dorms surfing the Internet trying to figure out what's going on,'' Kanode said.
