Ding Ding Ding

Ye! Ding Ding Ding they sang, they did
Booed me, "You can't write a song indeed."

You write of feelings divine, words long and long,
But Ding Ding Ding, can you ever sing a-long?

Hurray, they tapped their feet and jump they did,
Silly, to me they had no dream, pity you, Ding!

Tap-Tap-Tap they clapped with a joyous heart
Ding Ding Ding, -Uff, what a useless chant!

La La La! Come you may, come on, join us along,
Have some fun, left - right, one-two, Ding Ding Dong!

Where's the metaphor, or humane principles, or emotion?
Utter nonsense, waste of time, if not insult of art!

Hey, but wait a second, "Ding-a Ding-a Ding?"
Not too bad too, heard that? I could sing-a sing-a sing!

Hmm, lovely notes those, and a meaningless chatter
Ding Ding Ding, enough for the moment, it's such a banter!

Ha Ha! - Oh boy! And then such nice time I had
Never knew I could shake a leg, didn't look as bad

So cheerful these Ding people, they made me laugh
They made me whistle, boy, they made me LAUGH!

Ding! I had my good time, and when it was over
I went back and pulled up my drawer-

There! There I found my pencil and a piece of paper
And wrote this little song to cherish it for ever!
